I’m still trying! Unfortunately, instead of working yesterday, I spent the majority of my time carrying around a wee sick person and napping when he napped (my husband is home on Mondays so I could nap, thankfully!) Jack slept little Sunday night and when he was still fussy Monday afternoon I ended up at the doctor’s office. He doesn’t have an ear infection, so it must be a virus. I spent two hours at the pediatrician’s and then decided to forfeit the night and go to bed at 8 p.m. when Jack went to bed. Good thing. I soothed him back to sleep hourly until 7:30 a.m. and had a 4 a.m. walking session. He awoke with a fever again today, but seems to be doing better. I’m feeling rested and forging on. My plans to go to the post office yesterday were thwarted. Mr. S. is working during the day today, so I’m not going to attempt to go to the post office today. We’ll see what tomorrow holds.
After the “Super Storm” we woke up to high winds and 34* weather. Snow on the ground.
This morning I applied for my EIN online. (For tax purposes.)
I got to the IRS through that website I mentioned before http://www.howtoformanllc.org. I tried to add my sales tax info on Etsy, and found this:
I did manage to take pictures for a last minute item this morning while Jack slept and my husband was still home. I am always amazed at how little one can get done when kids are awake. Mac and Cheese waits for nothing!!!
Okay, my absolute to-do list before opening shop is:
- Figure out shipping costs
- double check my listings for errors
- update my policies
- Finalize three listings
- Do whatever else comes up as I go
Social networking will have to wait until my feet are fully under me. I think I’ll announce to friends and family when I have a facebook page set up. I will also need an announcement for my sewing blog along with a button.
The one bummer is that a little “souvenir” item will have to wait. I’ll get it into the shop before I announce to friends and family.
Blogging done for today. No time to edit! Let’s see what else I can get accomplished…
